How We Implement Client Feedback in Architectural Visualization

This is a topic that matters to every client we work with. Many clients naturally wonder what happens if a project does not move in the right direction. Will they lose their investment? Will they need to look for another 3D visualization studio? Will the collaboration become difficult or inflexible?

At Renderistic, we understand these concerns. In reality, very few architectural visualization projects move smoothly from the initial stage to final delivery without adjustments. Each project is a true collaboration between the studio and the client. From the beginning, both sides need time to understand the vision, expectations, and project requirements. Even when the brief is carefully prepared, refinements are almost always part of the process.

How to Reassure the Client

The most important reassurance we can offer is transparency. Based on our experience, visualization projects rarely follow a perfectly linear path. Instead, they evolve through continuous communication and mutual understanding.

A strong brief provides an essential foundation, but even the most detailed briefing cannot anticipate every design update or creative decision that may arise. Clients should feel confident that adjustments are a normal and constructive part of achieving the best possible visual result.

The Feedback Process

First Process

As we approach the later stages of production, we begin conducting internal render tests. This initial phase is dedicated exclusively to our team and allows us to evaluate lighting, textures, camera angles, composition, realism, and overall visual consistency.

During this stage, we also review the original brief to ensure that the developing imagery remains aligned with the real estate developer’s or design team’s expectations.

Second Process

Once we are satisfied with the internal visual quality, we prepare a selection of preview renderings to share with the client. For example, if a project requires 15 final images and two animation sequences, we may initially deliver around 10 lower-resolution renders for review.

At this stage, client feedback is particularly valuable regarding technical and architectural details, such as materials, colors, or design adjustments. While the artistic composition and visual storytelling are primarily guided by our team’s expertise, we remain open to suggestions that may further strengthen the final outcome.

The images represent the feedback from our long-term collaborators in Paris, who are specialised in fit-out design. We are using the Milanote online platform to exchange real-time information about every project. On this platform, we can upload images, text files, make live annotations, and much more. This way, we work together as if we are in the same office, even though we are 1500 km apart.

We also do the same with any clients if we need to.

There are some projects where we have about 8 versions of changes for the same space, as you can see in the folders. We understand the client as long as it needs for his project to meet the “perfection”.

The Photorealistic Rendering Phase

Only after we carefully implement the feedback related to the architectural or interior design aspects do we proceed with producing the full set of final high-resolution renderings. At this stage, we apply our most advanced rendering settings and realism techniques to ensure premium visual quality.

However, we typically postpone the production of additional deliverables such as animations or virtual tours. Since further refinements may still arise, focusing first on finalizing the static imagery helps maintain efficiency and prevents unnecessary revisions.

Final Stage: Production & Asset Delivery

In the final stage, once all visual directions have been confirmed, we complete and deliver the remaining materials requested by the client, including videos, animations, or virtual tours. Because these formats involve more complex production processes than static images, scheduling them at the end ensures both accuracy and optimal resource allocation.

Clients are often reassured to see that we work closely with them throughout every step of the process. This collaborative approach helps us achieve the strongest possible visual results while supporting the overall success of their project.
